Today, Dorian was expecting a very special visitor. A violinist and money woman associated with the Fisk family. From what he knew, she started working with Rocket for just a few years.

While he wasn't one to respect those who didn't get their hands dirty for the cause, Dorian was willing to give her a chance. After all, he knew just how important the financial side of things were.

Dorian waited in the VIP lounge, admiring a statue with a beautiful sapphire in the core of it.

Though she hated to admit it, Allegra Burns was tense. Oh, the issue wasn't the prospect of meeting an important figure in itself, as she'd done so a thousand times before; she could have navigated the protocol of such meetings in her sleep. Rather, it was the reason for her contact's importance that unnerved her. As a Rocket admin, he knew her name in full, including the maiden name she'd abandoned years ago. She doubted that he would sell her out to the League — for what gain, when he was sufficiently dedicated to Rocket to have risen high? —, but it was enough that he could if he was so inclined.

The violinist halted in a space still outside the lounge, bringing out a hand mirror to check on her hair, jewelry and make-up. Even though she'd ensured that her looks were impeccable on the way here, one could never be too sure. Pocketing the mirror, she took a breath, composed herself, and went inside.[break][break]

"Good evening, Mr Westcliff," she said with perfect elegance, showing no hint of her true emotions. "Thank you for taking the time to see me."

Thankfully for the businesswoman, she'd find that Dorian was not the type to just sell his fellow Rockets out to the League. No, he was far too loyal, far too dedicated to the cause to stab them in the back. Those who did stab them in the back were met with a cruel death, one that he was happy to personally administer.

When she walked in, Dorian turned away from the statue with the emerald in its core.

"Mrs. Burns, a pleasure to meet your acquaintance!", the Executive greeted her with respect, standing up. "Of course. Please, take a seat.", Dorian followed up, allowing her to sit across from him, before he took his own seat.

A waitress approached the table. "I'll have my usual. And you?"

This executive seemed nice enough, but Allegra knew better than most people how deceiving appearances could be. She herself was engaging in deception at the moment, after all; of course, showing vulnerability wasn't an alternative at all.

She'd like to see what "his usual" entailed before ordering anything alcoholic, and to take the measure of him as well. She waited until the server left before she spoke again. The war between Team Rocket and the League consisted of a multitude of smaller battles, to the extent that Allegra wondered whether civilians had any idea of how many self-contained wars they waged for control; not just in the physical realm but in the mental as well, in economy and intelligence and propaganda.

Sometimes, though, these self-contained struggles were indeed physical; and that was neither Admin Bee's specialty nor, Heavens forbid, his assistant's. Allegra didn't know exactly what Westcliff had done in the past, or what his own specialty was for that matter, but given that she'd been sent here with instructions to outsource an assassination... Well, she could make an educated guess.

"He does indeed require your services," she answered. His reaction also served to confirm her guess, and she wished she'd ordered something stronger than tonic. More than that, she wished the tonic would arrive, as her mouth felt dry. Nonetheless, her composure remained perfect as she added, "Though with a... rival, I suppose would be the term, rather than a client."

Upon being told it was a rival, Dorian grinned. "I see. And how would Admin Bee like to see this rival of his dealt with? Merely 'negotiated with'? Or does he need them to take a vacation, or be thoroughly humiliated?", Dorian inquired.

Though Dorian's terms were roundabout, one could infer what he was saying. The first was merely to force the rival into cooperating with the Admin's machinations. Still alive, but as an asset rather than a hinderance. By having them 'take a vacation', Dorian and his associates were to quietly make this irritant disappear, no body, no traces to be found.

As for humiliation, their death would be grisly. Their body was to be found and identified. Their death made to look like an accident in this case, but in such a way that it had a chilling effect on those who could read between the lines.

Allegra's tonic arrived along with her host's drink just before he replied, and she thanked the server with a nod and a murmur before turning her attention back to Westcliff. The man's grin sent a shiver down her spine, and his words — for all their subtlety — were no better.

Oh, Palkia, Dialga and Giratina. Never mind that he knew her identity, this Dorian Westcliff unnerved her by simply existing. At least he was not a complete brute despite the jobs he carried out; yet there was a part of her that would have almost preferred that scenario. As familiar as she was with subterfuge, deciphering this particular code made her feel a little queasy.

She really should have ordered a stronger drink than tonic, Allegra thought even as she drank it.

"I'm afraid that this rival is beyond the help of negotiation," she replied primly, sipping at her drink again. Her composure was as pristine as ever, but inwardly she could not wait to have this exchange done with. "A vacation shall do enough."
